Xiaomi Redmi Y1 is launched in India- spec's, price & feature's

Xiaomi has launched a lot of it's handsets in India because of their affordability and right pricing of their product's.
On thursday  comapny introduced it's new selfie focused Redmi-Y series and The Redmi Y1 is the first device to launch under this new series with the other smaller Lite version of the same.
It is actually the same Redmi 5A which was launched  in china few months back and now get;s launched in india under a new series.
It is a selfie focused smartphone so offcourse it's camera would be the highlight and Xioami phones lack in the camera department so now with the introduction of this new series there upcoming smartphones would capture great photos.

Redmi Y1 is made of polycarbonate body and doesn't feels cheap and looks like a metal body design only. In the event comapany introduced the MIUI9 which will roll out soon and would come out of the box with the Redmi Y1. MIUI 9 promises more fast experience and improvement's.
The main USP of the device is it's 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture on the front, 76.4-degree wide-angle lens, and and soft LED flash. With the MIUI 9, the camera app now comes with own beautify mode and more 36 built-in filters to make your selfies look great captured through the device.
The phone is same as that of the Redmi 4, apart from the new 16MP selfie camera, big 5.5-inches HD Display, and less battery.
The device sport's a 5.5-inch HD (1280*720 pixels) display witH 16:9 aspect ratio and corning gorilla glass 3 protection. It is powered  by 64-bit Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHZ and included Adreno 505 GPU. The power button and volume rockers are at the right edge of the phone and comes with a decent 3,080 mah non-removable battery.
The device comes in two variant's- 3GB RAM (32GB) AND 4GB RAM (64GB) respectivley. 
It is a Dual-Sim device with support for Micro-SD card which can expand the storage for upto 128GB.

 It comes with  4G VOLTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack, Wi-fi and Micro-USB2.0 port.
The device measures 153*76.2*7.7mm and weighs 153 grams.
Beneath the Display there are the three default navigation buttons for Home, back, and multi-tasking.
Talking about the Pricing, It cost's Rs 8,999 for 3GB (32GB) AND Rs 10,999 for 4GB(64GB) respectivley.  The device can be bought from the Mi.com, Mi Home, Reliance Digital and Mi partner store's.

Along with the Redmi Y1, The company also launched it's Lite version called the ''Redmi Y1 Lite''.
This device feature's a 5.5-inch HD Display and runs on Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHZ.

It comes in only 2GB RAM with 16GB Storage variant and storage can be expanded upto 128GB via a Micro-SD card. It is a Dual-Nano-SIM phone with dedicated Micro-SD card slot.
The main highlight being it,s camera, It comes with a 13MP Rear camera with LED flash and PDAF, and 5MP front Selfie shooter and is priced at Rs 6,999 respectivley.
It pack's the same 3,080 mah Non-Removable battery like on the Redmi Y1.

MY OPINION'S:-
The New Redmi Y1 is no-doubt a good phone and is a upgrade over the existing Redmi 4 with improvement,s and new selfie camera with MIUI 9 on-board.
The pricing of the Xiaomi phones have been affordable and right always unlike the VIVO, OPPO. (Rest you know about them).
The 3GB RAM (32GB) Variant for Rs 8,999 is recommended but the higher 4GB RAM (64GB) Variant for Rs 10,999 is a sort of high.
The Redmi Y1 Lite is also a good phone and can be considered while buying under that price bracket.
