GOOGLE PIXEL 2 AND PIXEL XL 2: EVERYTHING WE KNOW SO FAR !

The Pixel and Pixel XL 2 launched last year in 2016, were criticized for thier design, high price and lack of water resistance. we hope google will fix these issues with the upcoming pixel phones as the launch of these phones is around the corner, Google has confirmed the launch event for 4th october.

In this post we will take a sight at all the rumors we have heard so far about the Google upcoming flagship pixel phone's. We shall be talking about the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 to give you idea about what these phones would come with, design, speca and price.

Note these are rumors only google has not officially confirmed them.

HOW MANY DEVICES TO EXPECT?

The launch event set in the first week of the october by the google will be having product launches of two pixel devices, a mini google HomE and improved Day-Dream VR.

But who will be manfacturing the upcoming pixel devices? Well there are rumors that Pixel 2 will be made by HTC while the Pixel XL 2 will be manufactured by LG.

GOOGLE PIXEL 2: SPECS

Just like the predeccessors the upcoming flagship's will too offer high-end Specs.

The rumors say that the pixel 2, the smaller one is expected to sport a 4.9-inch Full Hd display with 4GB RAM. It will run Android Oreo and would come with a active edge feature like the one we see in HTC U11 edge sense which is also called squeezing the phone from the sides to do certain task's.

The device will be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset and as Evan blass claims the pixel phones can also be powered by Snapdragon 836, which would make them the first phone with that 836 chipset and would put ahead in the competition with a small upgrade over all the flagship's.

Pixel 2 might feature with two front-facing stereo speaker's and may come without a 3.5mm headphone jack which means you would have too plug your headphones with the help of an adapter.

It is rumored that there won't be dual camera setup which is found on all the flagship's this year but the camera performance of the pixel phones is just the one of the best.

The Pixel XL 2 is also rumored to be  water and dust resistant and expected to come with IP67 or IP68 rating. The current pixel phone come with IP53 rating which doesnt allows you to submerge your phone into water and won't die if you spray some water on them.

The phone would be lot similar to Pixel 2 with the same chipset and camera. Rumors claim that it will have a 128GB variant we can too expect a higher 256 GB option.

The biggest difference we see in the pixel phones is just the screen size.

Now, the pixel XL 2 is rumored to have a 18:9 aspect ratio with QHD AMOLED 6-inch display.Just like the pixel it may also come with the same active edge feature On-Board.

Talking about the Design, the consumers didn't like the design of the Pixel and Pixel XL too impressive while the build quality was premium, after all they were flagship's.

And, we have some bad news for you that the upcoming pixel phones will likely look like their predeccessor with a few minor differences.

The fingerprint sensor will be still on the back but will not be surrounded by the glass.

A New leaked image which comes from 9to5Google tells us somewhat about the design but doesn't shows you the entire device.

Based on the image leaks we can say that devices will have a slate gray glass window at the back while the rest black plate will be dark silver.

The blurry image also shows two holes below the rear camera which might be sensors for laser auto-focus feature.

A few more leaked images from DroidLife claim that the phone will come in three colors-Black, white and Blue version. Google may offer more color choices after the devices launch.

PRICE :

Last year pixel devices were priced too high making them not so affordable.

Google pixel was priced at $649 for 32 GB and $749 for 128 GB storage option, similarly, Pixel XL was priced for $769 FOR 32 GB and $869 FOR 128GB option respectivley.

The upcoming pixel phones are considered to be sold for same or more price tag.

DroidLife claims that Pixel 2 will cost $649(64GB) and $749(128GB) while the Pixel XL2 will cost $849(64GB) and $949(128GB) models respectivley.

Google need to price the phones low to stay in the competition otherwise there are further more phones like Samsung Galaxy Note8, HTC U11, LG V30 or iphone X which is most expensive phone for now. Google just sold 1million unit's of pixel devices so far which doesn't sounds impressive.

Let's see what Google does and we need to wait till the 4th october for the official revealing of the pixel devices.
