There was a rumour mill about the Google Android 8.0 version name most likely to be called whether oreo, octopus or may be oatmeal 🍪.Well that sounds annoying an oatmeal cookie. So Google took a decision to reveal its newer android version with the arrival of the solar eclipse over newyork where they had there their livestream yesterday. Google used names of sweets for its android releases dating back to android 5.0 lollipop, android 6.0 as marshmallow , android 7.0 as nougat and the newer android 8.0 as the oreo.
Well, oreo be the worlds favourite cookie. Android O could only be recognised by oreo cause its a sweet and are quite familiar to all. Like the creamy fillings Google just pulled out a lot of newer updates to its latest release about which we would be discussing further. Android O ships with more security features, including remote location, locking and wiping with Find My Device, and Google Play Protect, which scans for, detects and automatically deletes malicious apps on a daily basis.There’s also now Android Instant Apps, which provide access to apps instantly without requiring a download for limited interactivity; notification dots, which tell you when there’s activity within a specific app with a dot in the corner; and autofill for apps, which is like the feature on the web but for individual Android applications.
Finally, Google has updated its emojis set with something cool making conversations now more fun. Android 8.0 is here, which is smarter,faster with 2x boot speed when powering up the phone and helps minimize background activity.With your permission, Autofill remembers your logins to get you into your favorite apps at supersonic speed.Press the notification dots to quickly see what's new, and easily clear them by swiping away. Android O may be the Google's most efficient release which would make your phone work well . But still people are using the old Android versions like KitKat, lollipop or marshmallow. There is about only 13.5% of usage share of nougat around which is quite very less. Even some phone makers are launching their phones with old Android versions like marshmallow .
Marshmallows share usage is about 32.3% which is highest by any andoid version. So, people should upgrade on the latest Android versions which provide them more secure features. These share usage was for the month of the August.Further, there are no changes in any of its launcher but in the status bar some submenus are redesigned and there are some new icons too. you can change your icon shapes well thats available in the pixel launcher only. google has added many customization features which is great. Googles android 8.0 is something great which would improve android experience and would take it to new level with more updates.
